I came into work this morning.. opened my computer and the first article that pops up is this one… which cars get the most tickets? What’s funny is that Mike (our auto specialist) is currently buying a new car and it’s on this list! Check to see if you car made the list… and if it is… drive slowly from now on!

Citizens having a rate increase, yet again!

Kevin McCarty, the insurance commissioner, has approved yet another rate increase for Citizens effective January 1, 2011. This time the rate increase is 10.3 percent, on average since it can vary depending on location. Granted, they do have a valid reason since they have seen a large increase in claims this past year due to sinkhole losses. By increasing the rates, it offsets the money they have had to spend on these losses and assures that they will have enough money in their funds in the case of a large catastrophe.
